it's 10 am and i'm still drunk
too bright outside and i can't thunk
about what i did last night but i know it was fun
my eyes hurt, my breath smells like shit
i think i puked but i don't recall if
i did it once or twice but i do know it was not in the house
walk around to see what's wrecked up
survey the damage and all the red cups
take a piss and try not to splash any on that guy in the tub
it's quiet now and the sun's so bright
think everybody had a time last night
proven by the number of cars that are outside and bodies on the floor
my jacket got rained on now one too many times
the beers spilled the dirt and the grime
i look at it as a road map for me and mine
a look back at a much simpler time
looking back at where i've been
i'm glad it happened way back when
the consequences of everything had the volume turned down
probably won't ever have that much fun
and even though those days are done
i look back on them fondly and i'm glad they went down
those punk button rust rings like portholes back in time
those punk button rust rings when we were all doing fine
those punk button rust rings just for me and mine
those punk button rust rings to a much simpler time
